The Toughest Challenges Facing Our Children Today And What You Can Do About It...
Negative influences confront our children every day. The images of sex, drugs and violence bombard their senses through music, television and social media daily.
You can teach a child to “just say no” but when it comes down to crunch time, when they are faced with peer pressure, it’s their feelings about themselves that are going to determine whether they make the right decision, don’t you agree?
Fortunately, there is something you can do to help raise our children’s self esteem, feelings of self worth, and their belief in themselves. Let me tell you about it….
Hi! My name is Nathan Stockwell. My family just moved from Minneapolis in early August to Muncie, Indiana while my wife is getting her doctorate.
I’m a professional children’s magician with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in educational programs for elementary schools. You’ve also probably seen me on TV in national commercials, even if you didn’t know it! (You can see more about my acting work on the home page. But for now, I hope to be your school’s next assembly program provider.)
My program, “The Magic Inside”, is designed to help children raise their self-esteem and belief in themselves. High self-esteem is, of course, necessary for success now and later in life.
So, how does this program work?
“The Magic Inside” is approximately 50 minutes in length and is excellent for kindergarten through sixth grade. Through magic, comedy and story telling, children will learn numerous important life-changing messages. By combining entertainment with education kids are very receptive to these ideas and take them to heart.
Three important beliefs that kids must adopt
if they are going to be successful
- Our differences AND what we have in common make us who we are. It’s important to understand both.
Children are “hammered” with the importance of looks through media and advertising. In school, it’s even worse. Kids are picked on because they’re too tall or too short, too skinny or too fat. They’re made fun of if they don’t wear the “right” clothes.
It’s vital that children learn that looks are superficial and that it’s not what you look like or how you appear to others but rather the kind of person you are inside that makes the difference. -
You can do anything in life that you want as long as you believe in yourself.
Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive, he can achieve.” This is true, isn’t it? Yet, the sad truth is, that many kids are told daily that they can’t or won’t succeed. That they are dumb. That they “never do anything right”.
“The Magic Inside” will plant the seeds of confidence in children and help them to believe in themselves. -
Never, ever give up.
This is closely related to belief number two. Let’s face it, you can try your hardest and not succeed. This is something that kids need to realize. But they must also know the importance of not giving up after a set back. That they must keep trying if they are going to succeed.
Thomas Edison failed over 10,000 times before he successfully invented the light bulb. Abraham Lincoln failed many, many times before he was elected President. Kids need to know these things so they will be motivated to go for it!
Each of these themes are presented in an entertaining, fun way so that children will not only remember them but act upon them. Honestly now, isn’t it true that if our kids really did adopt these beliefs, that they’d be better off and live a happier, more productive life?
OK Nathan, everything you’ve said makes a lot of sense... Now what?
My show includes a teacher’s kit with posters to hang, puzzles and more plus the show itself which the kids will never forget! Even better, you can get a second show for less than half of the first one if it’s back to back. This is a great benefit for you if you have a lot of students at different grade levels or need to split it up if you have more than four or five hundred students.
I’ll be presenting, “The Magic Inside” in a limited number of areas for the remaining school year based on first response. Dates and times are obviously limited as my schedule fills fast. Please pick up the phone and call me or fill out the form below.
If you have any questions or need additional information I’ll be happy to help you. The sooner you call the better the opportunity you have to pick the day and time that’s best for your school. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Nathan Stockwell

“Nathan, just a note of thanks. Your program was really outstanding. You have a way with presenting and a way with kids that is super effective. Thank you for such an appropriate program and for making it so affordable for us at Norman County East when the budgets are so tight.
I just got back from a meeting from other folks who do the same thing I do and I sang your praises...and I told them what a great program you did.
Thanks again for your positive spirit and great presentation.”Rhoda Habedank, PTA President, Norman County East Elementary Tweet
“What I’m impressed with is how you could hold the attention of our youngest children so long. That is magical in itself. Seriously, you should be a teacher! It was incredible.”
Cindy Piersdorf, Teacher, Cowern Elementary Tweet
“The children learned having a positive self image is a good thing and can help you through life. [We]…would not change anything. Very good!”

Facts about the Show
Up to four hundred children is a good number to have for one show. More than that is acceptable but two shows are recommended beyond that. The show runs about 50 minutes and comes with a teacher’s kit full of fun mailed a week before the show.
